BACK CARRY

1. Begin by wraping the Mei Tai around the baby and gather the straps, with one hand, on babys chest. If your baby can't sit or stand yet, do the same by placing the baby on top of the Mei Tai on the sofa etc.

2. Hold the straps seccure with one hand, and use the other hand to lift the baby up on your shoulder.

3.Place the baby in the middle, between your shoulderblades.

4.Now your baby is seccure high up on your back. As long as you hold on to the straps the baby will not be able to fall.

5. Place the straps between your legs and hold the there while you pull the waist-straps under babys legs and tie the nice and tight around your waist, making the knot on your tummy.

6.From here you may either cross the straps, like with the front- carry, or you may...

7....Want to pull the straps straight back.

8.Do a Lexi Twist in the babys back. This might need some practice, but once you get it it will become quite easy. Get someone to help you the first couple of times.

9.Then pull the straps back under the babys legs and tie them on your tummy. If you feel uncomfortable with this or feel that the shoulderstraps are going to slide of your shoulder, you might want to do what is called a "tibetan ending"

10. Cross the straps as you see in the picture and place the underneath the shoulder straps.

11. Tie the knot in the middle. You are now ready to go.
