Safety is very important. We urge you to take these tips into consideration, to increase safety for both you and your child when babywearing.
* When wearing a newborn, remeber that his legs should be secure inside the carrier in "frog-position" (* instructions are on their way)* Make sure you tie your child close and high enough, so you child don't hang out from your body. This is important to give the right muscle-suport and ergonomity. Tying to low or not tight enough will give you a back-ace.
* The childs knees should be higher than its bottom. This is for ergonomity-reasons.
* Be sure that you are aware of you baby at any time. Especially when wearing the baby on your back. It is too easy to be uncareful and hit the babys head agaist the door-frame etc when you are not paying attention. It is a good thing to always carry a pocket mirror to be able to see how your little one is doing back there.
* Never use the carrier whilst cooking/eating hot food.
* Never allow a baby or child to play with carrier, long straps can pose a strangulation hazard.
* Never use the carrier whilst riding a bike/horse
* Never wear you child whilst driving, or as a childrestraint i a vehicle.
* Never use a damage carrier to carry your child.
* Beware of your strap-end at all time. Do not let them be cought up in something.
* Do not run, jog, jump or work out in any way that might cause shaking, while wearing your child. Repetative shaing may lead to what is called "shaken baby syndrome".
